The short version

AutoReply uses Google Sign-In only to authenticate you. Everything else — your messages, contacts, reply rules, and history — runs on your device and is never sent to us.

1. Who we are

AutoReply ("we", "us", "the app") is a mobile application developed by Ajay Patel. You can contact us at contact@codeally.dev.

2. What information the app accesses

To do its job — sending automatic replies on your behalf — AutoReply needs access to certain things on your device. Here's everything it touches, and why:

Google Sign-In (authentication)

AutoReply uses Google Sign-In to log you in. When you sign in, we receive basic profile information from Google — your name, email address, and profile picture — solely to authenticate you and secure access to the app. We do not use this information for advertising or share it with third parties. This is the only account associated with AutoReply, and you can request its deletion at any time (see Deleting your account).

Notification access

Android grants AutoReply permission to read incoming notifications from messaging apps. We use this strictly to detect new messages and trigger your reply rules. We do not transmit notification content anywhere. The notification listener service runs locally on your phone.

Reply rules and quick replies you create

These are stored in a local SQLite database on your device. We do not have access to this database — it never leaves your phone.

App settings and preferences

Things like your theme, language, and master switch state are saved in Android's shared preferences on your device. We do not sync or back these up to any server we control.

Reply statistics

The app counts how many replies it has sent and stores recent reply history locally so you can review it. This data stays on your device.

3. What we do NOT collect

4. Third-party services

Google Play Billing

If you purchase AutoReply Pro (monthly, yearly, or lifetime), the transaction is handled by Google Play Billing. Google receives your payment information — we do not. We receive only a confirmation that your account on Google Play has an active entitlement, so the app can unlock Pro features. Google's handling of your payment information is governed by Google's own privacy policy.

AI-powered smart replies (Pro feature)

If you enable AI-powered smart replies (a Pro feature), the message content needed to generate a context-aware reply is sent to a third-party AI provider for processing and immediately discarded. Plain "default reply" and "keyword rule" replies do not use any third-party AI service. You can disable AI replies at any time in Settings.

5. Data retention & deleting your account

Because everything except sign-in is local, your data persists on your device for as long as the app is installed. Uninstalling the app deletes its local database and preferences. You can also wipe the app's data manually at any time via your phone's Settings → Apps → AutoReply → Storage → Clear data.

To delete the Google Sign-In account associated with AutoReply, email us at contact@codeally.dev from the address you signed in with, using the subject "Account deletion request". We'll permanently delete your account within 30 days. Full step-by-step instructions are on our Delete account page.

6. Children

AutoReply is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone, of any age, on our servers (because we don't have any).

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights under privacy laws like GDPR or CCPA, including the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. Because AutoReply does not collect or store your personal data off-device, the easiest way to exercise these rights is to clear app data or uninstall the app. If you have questions, email us at contact@codeally.dev.

8. Security

The app stores its data in your phone's app sandbox, which Android isolates from other apps. We recommend keeping your device lock screen enabled and your operating system up to date for additional protection.

9. Changes to this policy

If we update this Privacy Policy, we'll change the "Last updated" date at the top. Material changes will be highlighted in the app or on this page.
